Brighton

Websites & Google profiles for Brighton trades — Kemptown to Preston Park

I'm based in Brighton, so this is the patch I know best, from Kemptown and Hanover to Preston Park, Hollingbury, Moulsecoomb and out to Woodingdean. Brighton customers search with a service and a place attached: "plumber Kemptown", "electrician Preston Park", "builder near me". I build the website, manage the Google Business Profile and sort the local SEO foundations for those searches, not only for the business name.

Websites for Brighton trades

Brighton is one of the most competitive local markets in Sussex. A search for a trade in central Brighton can bring up dozens of businesses within a mile, plus the national directories. A fast, mobile-first website with a page for each service, in each part of Brighton you cover, tells Google what you do and where.

Every site I build is written around the trade and the towns you cover, with schema markup so Google can read what you do and where you do it. On Grow I add a new town or service page every quarter, and on Expand every month, such as boiler repairs in Hanover or roof repairs in Whitehawk.

Google profiles for Brighton trades

The map results at the top of a Brighton search come from Google Business Profiles, not websites. With so many businesses packed close together, the profiles that look complete are the ones with the right categories, an accurate service area, real photos, regular posts and recent reviews with replies. That is what I work on. It does not decide the map on its own.

I manage profiles for Brighton businesses end to end — setup and verification, categories and service areas, weekly posts, review requests and replies, and reporting competitors who stuff keywords into their business names. If Google suspends a new profile during verification, I run the appeal; I've already won one from scratch with Companies House documents and insurance certificates.

Pages for Brighton's neighbourhoods

Local SEO is what ties your website and Google profile together: the same name, address and phone number everywhere, directory listings, and pages that match the words Brighton customers actually type.

For Kirby's Building & Property Maintenance, a Brighton & Hove roofing and maintenance firm, I built the website from scratch and set up the Google Business Profile.
