Kirby's Building & Property Maintenance
Written by Chris Kirby, KirbyTech, Brighton
The business
Kirby's Building & Property Maintenance does roofing, guttering and general building maintenance. They work in Brighton and Hove and along the Sussex coast.
What they needed
They needed a website of their own, and I started on that in January 2026. Then in February 2026, Google suspended their brand-new Business Profile.
What I did
- Built a new fast website from scratch: service pages, area pages for towns such as Hove, Saltdean, Peacehaven, Southwick and Brighton, and a blog with practical guides such as lead flashing and moss on roof tiles.
- Appealed the Google Business Profile suspension with evidence that Kirby's is a real, local business. The profile was reinstated by June 2026.
- Ongoing technical SEO: structured data, and a fix so Google spends its crawl time on real pages.
- Regular blog posts and social posts from job photos.
Where things stand
We have been working together since January 2026, and the Google profile has been back since June 2026. It is early days, and the results are still building. I will add results here once there is enough real data.
